Acquiring and Training a Local AI Model with PDF Content

As a seasoned sales professional with a strong technical background, I have been deeply invested in keeping up with AI advancements and exploring how AI can solve industry-specific challenges. With a larger goal in mind for the future, I decided to take an initial step by conducting a simple experiment: running a local AI model on my Mac and training it with the contents of a 233-page PDF.

My objective was to query the book's contents directly within the model, expecting it to provide insightful and accurate responses.

I went through all the necessary steps to accomplish this and successfully trained the model with the PDF’s contents. However, did it truly meet my expectations? Unfortunately, no.

This disconnect has left me with a list of questions  that I'm currently pondering and working through: For Eg -

- Did I choose the right model?

- Was the training process effective?

- Was my expectation wrong ?

If you're curious about AI and unsure where to start, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to share my experiences and learnings.
